Associate Attorney Dylan Gallagher is committed to supporting and improving his community and the people of Montana. Born and raised in Helena, Dylan moved to Missoula to obtain his undergraduate degree in Accounting and International Business with a minor in Irish Studies from the University of Montana. During his summers, and for a year before starting law school, Dylan tried his hand at road construction, repairing the roads and bridges of Lewis & Clark County.
In law school, Dylan expanded his potential to serve Montanans through his advocacy skills and knowledge of the law. He joined multiple student groups, including the Rural Advocacy League, as well as the Montana Trial Lawyers Association and Business and Intellectual Property groups. Dylan also participated on the Moot Court team and attained membership in the National Order of Barristers for excellence in the art of courtroom advocacy.
After graduating law school in 2015, Dylan returned to his hometown, where he had the pleasure of clerking for the Honorable Mike Menahan at the First Judicial District Court. He then served the people of Montana by working at the Montana Department of Labor and Industry. At the Department, Dylan resolved complaints and disciplinary actions against professional licensees. He also advised licensing boards on an array of issues, including finding where to draw the line between the competing constitutional rights of Individual Privacy and Public Participation, and avoiding anticompetitive behavior. Dylan also assisted boards in navigating statutory and rule amendments, and other policy matters.
Dylan is excited to bring his knowledge and passion for helping people to the Silverman Law team, including applying his skills to serve nurses, therapists, physicians, engineers, cosmetologists, or anyone who practices in Montana under a professional license. He would love to help you find ways to improve your practice, maintain compliance with licensure requirements, or establish a strong defense against unwarranted disciplinary action. He also serves clients on a broad array of other issues including general litigation, estate planning, business law, labor and employment law, real estate law, and contract law.
Dylan also firmly believes that his commitment to Montana starts with a commitment to his family. He loves spending time with his spectacular wife, two amazing children, and better-than-average labradoodle. When not in the office, you can usually find Dylan tracking the latest winter storm at ski hills across the state, riding the snowmelt down one of Montana’s extraordinary rivers, or generally enjoying all the incredible outdoor opportunities that this state has to offer.
