Chris Walker grew up in Kalispell, Montana. Chris received his undergraduate degree from Carroll College with distinction and received his law degree from the University of Montana School of Law with honors. While in law school, Chris earned top scores in Business Transactions and Intellectual Property Law and high marks as an extern with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Montana.
Prior to joining our team, Chris clerked for the 17th Judicial District Court of Montana and was employed as an associate with the Havre law firm of Bosch, Kuhr, Dugdale & Brown where he formed corporate entities, oversaw real estate sales from buy-sell to closing, created and terminated guardianships and conservatorships, and successfully litigated on behalf of business clients in commercial, land, and probate disputes.
During his time living on the Hi-Line, Chris was also President and a member of the board of Havre’s Helping Haven, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which sells second-hand household goods to the needy.
Chris enjoys problem-solving with clients and helping them grow and defend their businesses and livelihoods. Chris’s practice focuses on business and contract matters, real estate transactions, estate planning, and probates. He is also not afraid to litigate on behalf of clients, whether as plaintiff, defendant, or intervenor. In fact, Chris feels most in his element when tackling challenging and unexpected problems.
When not working, Chris loves to read and spend time with his wife and two young children. Chris is excited to hike the back trails and mountain paths surrounding Helena and explore the historic areas of Helena and its surroundings.
Chris is licensed in Montana and Colorado.
