Shelby is a lifelong Montanan with deep roots in this beautiful state. She began her career as a youth case manager at a therapeutic group home for at-risk youth in her hometown of Boulder, Montana, an experience that shaped her values and reinforced her belief that every person deserves respect, care, and opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally. It was during this time that Shelby also discovered the vital role advocates play in helping others succeed.
In 2018, Shelby joined the Montana Office of Disciplinary Counsel (“ODC”) as the executive assistant. Inspired to further support the legal profession, she went on to earn her paralegal certificates through Montana State University Billings and the State of Montana Registered Apprenticeship Program. Over her seven years with ODC, she had the privilege of working with numerous Montana law firms, courts, and members of the public, gaining invaluable insight into the legal field and deepening her respect for the profession and our community.
Ultimately drawn to private practice, Shelby sought a law firm that shared her own values, one committed to client service and meaningful contributions to the community. Shelby found that alignment at Silverman Law Office, where the firm’s client-centered approach resonates with her own professional goals. She is excited to bring her experience and dedication to this new chapter in her life.
Outside of work, Shelby has been happily married to her best friend for nearly a decade. Together, they are raising two incredible kiddos and as an avid rescue family, they have three dogs, three cats and a constant rotation of other animals needing a loving home. Her family enjoys the outdoors gardening, camping, kayaking, and spending snowy days at Great Divide. On quieter days, Shelby finds joy in reading, cooking, yoga and puzzling.
