Cody earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Wyoming. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law and an LL.M. (master of taxation) from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. His advanced training in taxation equips him to navigate complex tax matters, helping clients protect their assets and reduce their tax liabilities.
During law school, Cody gained valuable experience at the University of Wyoming’s Civil Legal Services Clinic, where he advocated for low-income individuals in child custody and property disputes. He went on to intern at Kearney, McWilliams & Davis in Denver and Sheridan, eventually becoming an attorney at the firm. In this role, he specialized in title work for large, multinational natural resource companies, helping to identify the rightful owners of mineral rights.
