A fifth-generation Montanan, Morgan E. Tuss is an attorney with Silverman Law Office, serving clients across Montana in a range of legal matters.
She practices in the areas of estate planning, estate, trust and probate administration, business and corporate law, landlord/tenant law, real property law, oil and natural resources law, labor and employment law, guardianship and conservatorships, and premarital (prenuptial) agreements. Morgan also provides tax advising in areas of gift and estate tax, fiduciary income tax, business and corporate tax, and property tax.
Morgan chose to practice law because she is drawn to helping individuals and families navigate complex legal and financial decisions during some of the most important moments in their lives. She joined Silverman Law Office because of its commitment to providing practical, client-focused guidance with a strong emphasis on clarity, integrity, and long-term solutions—values that align with how she approaches her own work.
Morgan received her Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota School of Law in December 2020, ranking as fourth in her class. Morgan was inducted as a member of the esteemed Order of the Coif. In the fall of 2024, Morgan completed her Dual Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law and Estate Planning from Golden Gate University School of Law and Bruce F. Braden School of Taxation.
Morgan regularly presents as faculty for continuing legal education seminars in the area of trusts and estates. Representing County Ward 7, Morgan previously served as a Board Member of the Board of County Commissioners of Yellowstone County for the Board of Planning, Board of Zoning, and Board of Adjustments. She also previously served as a Board Member for Billings TrailNet, a 501(c)(3) non-profit qualified organization and as a Trustee for the New Lawyers Section of the Montana State Bar. Morgan is a part member-manager of a small rental management business.
While attending law school, Morgan was the president of the law school’s Student Bar Association (SBA) during her second year in addition to being a student representative of SBA for her first and third years. She also participated in the school’s trial team program, in extracurricular mock trial team through her membership with Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity, and as a member of the Minnesota Innocence Project.
Morgan holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication Arts and an Associate of Arts degree in Applied Psychology from Montana State University Billings.
Morgan was born and raised in Billings. She is proud to carry the Tuss Family’s lasting Montana heritage and legacy of hard work. Morgan’s husband is a fourth generation Montanan, growing up in Denton on the Edwards Ranch. Outside of work, Morgan is busy with their two daughters.
