A fifth-generation Montanan, Morgan E. Tuss is an attorney with Silverman Law Office, serving clients across Montana in a range of legal matters.
She practices in the areas of estate and trust planning (including related premarital/prenuptial agreements and state adoptions), business and corporate law (establishment, transactions, asset/stock sales, records and management, dissolution, M&A, etc.), pre-litigation landlord/tenant law (landlord rights/remedies), real property law (residential, commercial, agricultural/ranches, leasing, conveyances, easements, construction liens, water, title, etc.), liquor and gambling, mineral and natural resources law (oil, wind, solar, etc.), labor and employment law, and estate, trust and probate administration.
Morgan often does what she calls “custom contracts” for a variety of client needs, ranging from complex, multi-million-dollar real property and business sales, various service, sales of goods, intellectual property, and licensing contracts, and much more. Morgan also provides tax advising in connection with client matters, such as capital gains tax, gift and estate tax, fiduciary income tax, business and corporate tax, multi-state & SALT taxation, and property tax.
During the course of her career, Morgan estimates that she has assisted more than 1,000 individuals and families with their estate planning, business and tax matters, and helped clients gift, buy, sell and administer over a billion dollars in combined assets.
Morgan chose to practice law because she is drawn to helping individuals and families navigate complex legal and financial decisions during some of the most important moments in their lives. She joined Silverman Law Office because of its commitment to providing practical, client-focused guidance with a strong emphasis on clarity, integrity, and long-term solutions—values that align with how she approaches her own work.
Morgan received her Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota School of Law in December 2020, ranking as fourth in her class. Morgan was inducted as a member of the esteemed Order of the Coif. In the fall of 2024, Morgan completed her Dual Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law and Estate Planning from Golden Gate University School of Law and Bruce F. Braden School of Taxation.
Morgan regularly presents as faculty for continuing legal education seminars in the area of trusts and estates. Morgan is a part member-manager of a small rental management business.
While attending law school, Morgan was the president of the law school’s Student Bar Association (SBA) during her second year in addition to being a student representative of SBA for her first and third years.
