Shelley brings nearly 20 years of legal experience to her role at Silverman Law Office.
She earned her B.A. in English from University of Maryland University College and her Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Loyola University Chicago. She began her career as a legal assistant with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division in Chicago and went on to work as a litigation paralegal at firms of all sizes, from large global firms to mid-size firms across the country. She later moved in-house as a paralegal at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in Virginia, where her career evolved into a contract analyst role within the Federal Reserve’s National Procurement Office. After relocating to Montana, she worked as a paralegal and contracts manager for a national engineering, design, and construction firm headquartered in Billings.
Following several years in corporate and in-house legal roles, Shelley is glad to be back in private practice and working directly with clients. Based in Silverman Law Office’s Billings office, she focuses on probate, professional licensing defense, and other business matters, bringing a practical, business-minded perspective shaped by years of corporate and transactional work. She shares the firm’s commitment to putting clients first and enjoys building relationships with clients and helping guide them through their legal matters with care and attention.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Shelley has called many places home, living across the U.S. and in Italy during her years as a military spouse. Her time abroad sparked a lasting passion for travel, and she returns to Europe whenever possible. Outside the office, Shelley enjoys traveling with her husband, practicing Pilates, and spending time at home with their two dogs and two cats.
